Volunteering
We're always grateful to the many people who give up their free time to come and help out here.

People volunteer here for a whole range of reasons - some are school students doing work experience placements, some are veterinary students doing their small animal placement, and some are just animal lovers who want to help out with our rescued pets.

Volunteering at Paws Here can be hard work. The job mainly involves feeding, watering, and cleaning the various animals, as well as handling and grooming, and helping with general cleaning. Long term volunteers may learn how to use the till, and there may be customer interaction as well.

If you are interested in volunteering some of your time to help out here then contact Rachel either by email here, or by phoning the shop on 0131 4477464. Those who suffer with severe seed/nut or pet allergies will sadly be unable to volunteer.

Helping out is a lot of fun and very rewarding, and looks excellent on your CV, particularly if you are hoping to work with animals at some point. It's also very helpful for us, and the pets are all very glad of the extra attention, so a big thank you to all of the many volunteers who help to make Paws Here such a success.
